Saving Interests

Hi, I have saving accounts with Tangerine and the interest rates are not what they were when it was ING. What banks offer the highest interest rates for saving accounts?

2017/06/06 18:51:53 Mack Chen I recommend you hold savings to cover three to six months of essential expenses in the event of an unexpected event, such as a job loss, car accident or health problem. Not too much more than that.
The average rate on a savings account is 0.1 percent and the average one-year certificate of deposit rate is just 0.28 percent, according to Bankrate.com.
One year GIC may not be a bad idea since it is for emergency. The worst case is you lose the one year interest rate when you take the money out. P
