62% of millennials have started saving for retirement

Almost two-thirds (62%) of millennials have started saving for retirement and almost half (46%) started before the age of 25

millennials also have their sights set high, with 40% of respondents believing they will need more than $1 million saved for retirement.

To meet this expectation, many millennials (63%) expect to retire over the age of 60, which is slightly more optimistic than the rest of Canadians, with 74% expecting to retire over the age of 60.
