Current account

A measure of a country’s international trade in goods and services. Net flow of goods, services, and unilateral transactions (gifts) between countries. A broad measure of import-export activity that includes services, travel and tourism, transportation, investment income and interest, gifts, and grants along with the trade balance on goods. A country's international transactions arising from current flows, as opposed to changes in stocks which are part of the capital account. Includes trade in goods and services, including payments of interest and dividends on capital, plus inflows and outflows of transfers.
